Salt lamps is also a very important Handicrafts of Pakistan .the salt lamps are of various kinds and various types and size the worlds 2nd largest salt mine is in Pakistan and it is in the himaliyan mountain ranges Pakistan khewra salt mines it is 300 km wide the salt mountains started from khwera and ends at kala bagh it in punjab province.the salt lamps are not only a decorative item and a piece of art and craft but it also has some medical uses it is very good for estima patients the salt lamp where it is placed cleans and filters the air and improves the quality of air with in 10 to 15 meter.the salt lamp industry in Pakistan is in lahore,Gujranwala,khewra and karachi and it is flourishing day by day.some of these lamps are in the form of natural rock . and some are crafted and shaped by tools.and it is a very nice kind of handicraft.
